Class 3: Balancing. As our comfort level with vinyasa yoga grows, we will review sun salutes and standing
postures before expanding our practice to include balancing poses. Modifications given include
approaching balancing poses with both feet on the ground (yes it still counts as balancing!) as well as
using a wall or a chair for added stability. We practice balancing not just to ‘do a yoga pose’ but also to
improve our proprioception and sense of where our bodies are in space to aid our balance in our daily
lives.
